Thomas J. Webster’s (H index: 121; Google Scholar) degrees are in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh (B.S., 1995; USA) and in biomedical engineering from RPI (Ph.D., 2000; USA). He has served as a professor at Purdue (2000-2005), Brown (2005-2012), and Northeastern (2012-2021; serving as Chemical Engineering Department Chair from 2012 - 2019) Universities and has formed over a dozen companies who have numerous FDA approved medical products currently improving human health in over 20,000 patients. He is currently helping those companies and serves as a professor at Brown University, Saveetha University, Vellore Institute of Technology, UFPI, and others. Dr. Webster has numerous awards including: 2020, World Top 2% Scientist by Citations (PLOS); 2020, SCOPUS Highly Cited Research (Top 1% Materials Science and Mixed Fields); 2021, Clarivate Top 0.1% Most Influential Researchers (Pharmacology and Toxicology); 2022, Best Materials Science Scientist by Citations (Research.com); and is a fellow of over 8 societies. Prof. Webster is a former President of the U.S. Society For Biomaterials and has over 1,350 publications to his credit with over 55,000 citations. He was recently nominated for the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

Yang Yue received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering and optics from Nankai University, China, in 2004 and 2007, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California, USA, in 2012. He is a Professor with the School of Information and Communications Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University, China. Dr. Yue’s current research interest is intelligent photonics, including optical communications, optical perception, and optical chip. He has published over 260 journal papers (including Science) and conference proceedings with >10,000 citations, six edited books, two book chapters, >60 issued or pending patents, >200 invited presentations (including 1 tutorial, >30 plenary and >50 keynote talks). Dr. Yue is a Fellow of SPIE, a Senior Member of IEEE and Optica. He is an Associate Editor for IEEE Access and Frontiers in Physics, Editor Board Member for four other scientific journals, Guest Editor for >10 journal special issues. He also served as Chair or Committee Member for >100 international conferences, Reviewer for >70 prestigious journals.

Wenxing Xu is a dedicated mineralogist and material scientist. She completed her studies at Geosciences University of China in Wuhan, and later pursued her Master's and PhD at the University of Mainz in Germany, focusing on gemstone materials and origin determination. With extensive experience in the gemstone industry, Wenxing is an accomplished Research Scientist and Gemologist, specializing in identifying color gemstones and interpreting their origins. Her expertise lies in R&D for gemstone identification, developing non-destructive spectroscopic methods for gemological laboratories. With over 20 years of gemological experience across three continents, Wenxing Xu remains at the forefront of cutting-edge research in her field.

Kah-Wee Ang is a tenured Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Deputy Director of E6 NanoFab at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Concurrently, he holds a joint appointment as Principal Scientist with the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE), A*STAR. Prior to his move to NUS, he was a manager for the 3D CMOS scaling project at SEMATECH, USA, where he led a team to develop advanced CMOS manufacturing technology for sub-22 nm node and beyond. Currently, he serves as an Associate Editor of Nano Select (WILEY) and an Editorial Board Member of Scientific Reports, a journal of Nature Research. He also served in the Executive, Steering and Technical Programme Committee of numerous international conferences.

N.V. Kamanina has current interest in the areas of investigations on inorganic soft materials of the UV and IR range, coatings, organic conjugated materials, liquid crystals, laser-matter interaction, fullerenes and biological objects. She has an experience in nanoparticles doping process of organics, in recording of amplitude-phase thin gratings in thin films as well as in developing of LC cells and spatial light modulators; she has an experience in optical limiting effect of laser radiation over visible and infrared spectral ranges, in medical applications of LC structures to orient human blood cell. She has published more than 200 scientific papers in theInternational and Russian journals. Ephraim Suhir is a foreign full member of the National Academy of Engineering, Ukraine; Life Fellow of the IEEE, the ASME and the SPIE; Fellow of the APS, the IoP (UK), the IMAPS and the SPE; and Associate Fellow of the AIAA. He has authored 400+ publications, presented numerous keynote and invited talks worldwide, and received many professional awards, including the 1996, Bell Labs Distinguished Member of Technical Staff Award and the 2004, ASME Worcester Read Warner Medal for outstanding contributions to the permanent literature of engineering. He is the third Russian American, after Timoshenko and Sikorsky (!), who received this prestigious award.

Mário F. S. Ferreira graduated in Physics from the University of Porto, Portugal, and received the Ph.D. degree in Physics in 1992 from the University of Aveiro, Portugal, where he is now a Professor at the Physics Department. Between 1990 and 1991 he was at the University of Essex, UK, performing experimental work on external cavity semiconductor lasers and nonlinear optical fiber amplifiers. His research interests have been concerned with the modelling and characterization of multi-section semiconductor lasers for coherent systems, quantum well lasers, optical fiber amplifiers and lasers, soliton propagation, polarization and nonlinear effects in optical fibers. He is Member of IEEE, a Senior Member and a Travelling Lecturer of both OPTICA (Optical Society of America) and SPIE - The International Society for Optics and Photonics, He served in various committees of OSA and of SPIE, as well as in the organizing and scientific committees of various international conferences. Actually, he serves also as an Associate Editor or as an Advisor Board Member of several international journals in the area of optics and photonics.

Prof. Friedrich Grimm was born in Stuttgart in 1954. He studied architecture at the University of Stuttgart and at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago in 1980. After having finished his studies in 1981, he worked as an employed architect and later on temporarily joined the scientific staff of the Institute for Building Construction at the University of Stuttgart. During his practice as a freelanced architect, since 1989 he took part in competitions and completed several multifamily houses in southern Germany. Due to a series of books, which he has written in the field of steel construction, edited by Ernst & Sohn in Berlin (2003), and one the subject of one family homes, edited by Callwey in Munich (2006), he was nominated a professor honorary in 2009 by the faculty one, for architecture and urban design at the university of Stuttgart. In 2016, he founded the RES- Institute as a completely independent think tank in the field of renewable energies. Since then he works with passion and endurance on projects matching the RES-Institutes obligation to provide blueprints for a friendly climate on earth. Several patents in the field of concentrated solar thermal systems led him into the field of optics where he invented a wide angel sensor, recording light signals with infinite depth of field in real time. Among his inventions there is also a new achromatic lens focusing light of different wave lengths, even x-rays. His latest invention relates to a quantum mechanical device which, making use of the electronic spin of quantum particles with spin number 1/2, to create a fluid dynamic equilibrium within an electromagnetically enclosed plasma of a fusion reactor, by a regular change of the spin's angular momentum.
